International Exposure

    Presented a research paper titled “Cultural Changes over different stages of Nolan’s Stage Hypothesis for Information Technology Management” in the 6th Annual International Management Conference organized by Makerere University Business School, Uganda held between December 7-10, 1999. Led two one-day seminars on IT for the Executives and Government Administrators of Sri Lanka between 26-27 January 2001 on the topics:
    • Leveraging IT for Competitive Advantage
    • E-Governance
    Presented the Inaugural Keynote address on “e-Governance : Transforming the National Bone Marrow” on 2.7.2001 in the 24th National IT Convention of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka held at Hotel Hilton, Colombo. Taught two IT courses at the California State University, Fullerton(CSU-F), College of Business and Economics in the Summer Schedule-2 in the year 2001:
    • MSIS 310 : Systems Analysis & Design
    • MSIS 408 : Database Management Systems
    Appointed IT expert to the Government of Seychelles by the Commonwealth Fund For Technical Co-operation (CFTC), Commonwealth Secretariat in the year 1996 for a period of two years (due to employment conditions at FMS, this assignment counld not be taken up). Participated in the 07-RP-02-GE-FRM-A : Top Management Forum : Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation, Kyoto, Japan organized and sponsored by the Asian Productivity Organization, Japan, from 26 to 28 February, 2007. Chaired two sessions in the Forum, i.e. Session-VIII : “Reforming Japan’s Innovation System” and Session-IX : “ Panasonic Global R & D Strategy” on February 27, 2007. Chaired two sessions in the Forum, i.e. Session-VIII : “Reforming Japan’s Innovation System” and Session-IX : “ Panasonic Global R & D Strategy” on February 27, 2007. Represented the Vice–Chancellor of the University of Delhi at the Eleventh Convocation of Sherubtse College, Kanglung, Bhutan as Chief Guest held on 10th April, 2007. Delivered the Convocation Address on the occasion. Participated in the “18th Management of Higher Education Institutions Seminar - An Opportunity for International Co-operation”, Galillee College, Israel between 21 June, 2007 and 2 July, 2007. Participated in the program titled “Delivering Information Services, (DIS)” from July 24, 2011 to July 30, 2011 at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. Presented a paper “Shifting paradigms in IT Training in B-Schools–An Indian Perspective” at the Academy of World Business Marketing and Management Development (AWBMAMD) conference in Budapest, Hungary held from July 16 to 19, 2012.
